Our history
Godfrey Group Facilities was originally set up by Andrew Godfrey but has since become a family business as Louisa and Laura Godfrey took their positions.
Godfrey Group started as an amalgamation of Building Maintenance and Commercial Cleaning services in 2015 drawing from Andrew’s experience in construction and facilities.
This was grown and developed from our Denbigh office before purchasing Pool Park Estate Ruthin in 2023 where our head office now is.
Andrew still sits as our Managing Director where his vision and commitment for the company’s future has never diminished. From inception, we have seen considerable success and are continually growing, leading the industry conscientiously into the future.
Godfrey Group Facilities is founded
We started with a housing association contract as well as works for local authority, shopping centres, and small NHS contracts.
New contracts in the North and South
Saw us gain our first contracts in the hospitality industry, first locally in Talacre and then moving north to the lake district and South to Newquay.
Recognised by 'Fast Growth 50'
We showed steady but enviable growth in the holiday industry gaining further contracts in Yorkshire, Norfolk, and the Midlands. Godfrey Group were recognised in the 2019 Fast Growth 50,
Covid and Lockdown
Whilst the covid time was tough for the entire country, Godfrey Group furloughed the staff, keeping in touch and checking in with both employees and clients. Andrew was keen to research the issues that covid brought, knowing that when businesses opened up after lockdown, cleaning would be everyone’s priority.
Finalists: Daily Post Business Awards 2021
We were also Finalists for Business of the Year in the Daily Post Business Awards 2021. We were fortunate enough that our reputation and expertise carried us through this period and enabled us to support our clients in a safe and controlled approach that saw them open their doors to holiday guests again.
The only national housekeeping provider in the UK
This is where we really cemented our position in the industry. Sitting as the only national housekeeping provider in the UK, gaining contracts on the Isle of Wight as well as being the only company to hold a contract with Centre Parcs supporting two of their sites across the UK.
New team members join
Laura and Louisa joined the business. Laura being a graduate of the University of Liverpool with a business degree and Louisa being a head teacher with 15 years’ experience and a fluent Welsh speaker, had a direct impact on gaining another housing association contract throughout north and mid Wales.
3 ISO awards & our first client in Scotland
We started 2025 by being credited with our 3 ISO awards, which we worked tirelessly to achieve. Whilst keeping the company structure robust, 2025 is currently our best year in our history for on-boarding new clients and forming deep routed relationships with holiday park providers where we sit as partners to Hoseasons and Landal. In addition, Godfrey Group secured our first park in Scotland, making us truly a company with a National reach.
